In addition, research since 2015 AGSHOME is a company dedicated to providing low-cost smart home solutions. Their mission is to make people's lives more convenient, comfortable and safe through smart and easy-to-implement technology.

Standardized system

The different elements offered by the AGS Home company are not EN50131 standardized.

I invite you to read the page standards and certifications to understand the benefit of choosing equipment certified to at least EN50131.

Equipment

AGS Home only offers a limited selection of protection elements for the intrusion alarm ranges, so in this article I will review the different areas of security to give you a complete overview.

Power plants

To date, AGS Home offers a central unit (in two versions) on the French market, which I detail below:

Control

AGS Home offers an indoor keypad and a four-button remote control, which are the main physical control elements.

Intrusion

Concerning the detectors allowing you to secure your property, the list is limited considering the 433MHz alarm protocol (type perimeter ou volumetric) without considering the aspect Smart Life and WiFi detectors. In fact, the native radio of the AGS Home system is 433MHz.

Le perimeter detector is as follows: this is an opening detector, no other perimeter element is available in 433MHz radio alarm at AGS Home in July 2024.

Concerning volumetric detector indoor, the detector uses simple technology (PIR = infrared = heat) and does not have the PIRCAM option, which means it is not equipped with a built-in camera. The field of action is 120 degrees for 7 meters with immunity to animals up to 25 kg.

Technical

In technical protection, there is no 2024MHz alarm protocol technical detector at the time of writing (July 433). On the other hand, SmartLife compatibility allows for quite interesting coupling regarding the technical part (humidity, flooding, sector, smoke) considering 2.4GHz WiFi.

Deterrence

Regarding deterrence, there is an indoor siren (120dB / 3800Hz) native to AGS Home.

You can add deterrence through Smart Life/Tuya.

Video

A camera is available at AGS Home via the Smart Life app considering WiFi connectivity. This camera offers 1080P imaging, night vision, motion detection with SD card storage (no subscription). All Smart Life / Tuya WiFi cameras are compatible.

Home automation (Smart Life)

Smart Life lets you control all your devices with just one app. Smart Life was created by Tuya, one of the leaders in the IoT (Internet of Things) market, and is based on open source code.

With Smart Life, you can easily control all your connected devices (AGS Home and third-party) from a single Android/iOS app:

• WiFi camera,
• WiFi bulb,
• WiFi intercom,
• WiFi opening detector,
• WiFi motion detector,
• WiFi smoke detector,
• WiFi window break detector,
• Etc.

Since the AGS Home system's peripherals are quite limited, you have the option to enrich it by integrating Smart Life. This will allow you to benefit from a wider range of features and connected devices by considering a WiFi radio. This integration also allows support for Amazon, Alexa and IFFT voice commands.

Spare parts

AGS Home does not provide spare parts.

The warranty covers 2 years, therefore, the company AGS Home simply replaces on proof of purchase (invoice) if the fault cannot be repaired and is proven.

Application

In the Smart Life application, the AGS Home control unit is controlled in a simple way, namely:

• Activation/deactivation/SOS,
• Action schedule (activation/deactivation),
• Entry/exit timer setting,
• Siren volume and melody,
• Add and remove 433MHz device,
• System event.
